Except that bra's don't actually support anything. They squeeze, chafe, reshape, and cut off blood circulation, cause varicose veins, bruises, permanent divots in the shoulders, back pain, sweating, and cost a fortune, but they don't actually support anything... much.

If it is loose enough, that it does not restrict breathing, and blood supply, it slides around and does not support at all. It chafes the skin, pops off under your shirt, hurts, and sometimes makes you bleed.

When you take your bra off, and you see red lines on the side or underneath your breasts, see marks on your shoulder from the straps, your lymphatic flow is being cut off. Push-up bras and those with underwire or high side panels have a constricting effect on the lymphatic vessels.

Not wearing a bra does NOT make them sag faster! The coopers ligaments, which support the breasts, naturally get stronger with use (like muscles). If a bra actually does support them, the ligaments weaken (like muscles that don't get exercised); this means the breasts become reliant on the bra to maintain their shape.
Large breasted women often suffer more pain and damage to their backs and shoulders from wearing a bra, than they would by going natural.
Except for societal pressures, a small breasted woman only needs a bra for cosmetics.

Sagging breasts are inevitable whether you wear a bra or not. Since ligaments support the breast, wearing a bra can actually cause MORE extensive breast sagging.

The bra industry knows that bras do not prevent droopy breasts. In fact, bras cause breast to droop since the breasts become dependent on the bra for support and the breast’s natural supporting mechanisms become atrophied from nonuse.

More research is necessary on this subject. Perhaps it is better to remove your bra if you have breast problems. Bra removal however is not a billable medical procedure. Until that time women should take the precaution of loosening up.

Billions of dollars are spent each year on the detection and treatment of breast cancer.
A great deal of money would be saved if bras went out of business. Experts can’t explain why over 70% of breast cancer cases have no risk factors.

There is a great deal of resistance to change. Industries contribute to disease, and some profit from disease. The advertising media propagates attitudes and fashions that perpetuate breast cancer.

As long as our culture scorns a natural bust line, women are encouraged to keep breast pain, red marks, indentations, and cysts, despite cancer risks rather than face social and public media pressures. In order to conform to society pressure, many women suffer in silence. And to what degree? Trips to the doc for mammograms and getting breast cancer!

A recent Harvard study showed an increase in breast cancer rates in women who wear bras. The odds of getting breast cancer dramatically increase in women wearing bras over 12 hours a day. In less than 12 hours one had 1/25 risk  and more than 12 hours,
(but not to bed) had a 1/7 risk. 75% of women with breast cancer do not have any typical risk factors. Women in Western countries get more breast cancer than tribal African women.

In 1991, researchers Hsieh & Trichopoulos found that pre-menopausal women who do not wear bras had half the risk of breast cancer compared to bra wearers. (Eur J Cancer. 1991; 27(2):131-5.)

For you 18 year old girls!!!
If you DON'T wear a bra, your breasts will look better for a longer time with NO CLOTHES on, where as If you DO wear a bra, your breasts will look better for a longer time with clothes STILL ON. (This means your breasts immediately begin to slump when your guy takes your bra off! - If you hadn't been wearing one, your breasts would still look perky!)
So breasts would actually look better if women would stop wearing bras altogether.
Stop unnecessary surgeries now, and stop the bra wearing! Breast cancer freedom and breast freedom now! Become brafree!

This book tells how and why women should be concerned that their bras are actually ruining the shape and beauty of their breasts from wearing bras too much. The link that bras are to breast cancer. Bras are a HUGE detriment to women's breasts! God designed breast muscles to hold up breasts on their own. Bras just weaken those muscles, causing the "sag" that women are so afraid of. It was not God's intent for women to wear bras, and millions of women are dying from too much bra wearing that makes the link to breast cancer possible. Eliminate this link by quit wearing bras today. The author tells you how.

  1. I love been braless no back pain .the freeness of my breasts feel amazing and not bothered who see my nipplescim comfy

  2. Great article. Society is so conditioned to feel we 'Have to have' things like bras, or shoes. Going barefoot is also more healthy than wearing shoes, but both shoe companies, podiatrists, and bra manufacturers drill it into us that we need these things. I'm a guy, but my wife has been braless for a few years now and loves it, and I'm barefoot most of the time now, and love that also.

    1. 1991 Harvard study (CC Hsieh, D Trichopoulos (1991). Breast size, handedness and breast cancer risk. European Journal of Cancer and Clinical Oncology 27(2):131-135.). This study found that, “Premenopausal women who do not wear bras had half the risk of breast cancer compared with bra users…”

    2. 1991-93 U.S. Bra and Breast Cancer Study by Singer and Grismaijer, published in Dressed To Kill: The Link Between Breast Cancer and Bras (Avery/Penguin Putnam, 1995; ISCD Press, 2005). Found that bra-free women have about the same incidence of breast cancer as men. 24/7 bra wearing increases incidence over 100 times that of a bra-free woman.

    3. Singer and Grismaijer did a follow-up study in Fiji, published in Get It Off! (ISCD Press, 2000). Found 24 case histories of breast cancer in a culture where half the women are bra-free. The women getting breast cancer were all wearing bras. Given women with the same genetics and diet and living in the same village, the ones getting breast disease were the ones wearing bras for work.

    4. A 2009 Chinese study (Zhang AQ, Xia JH, Wang Q, Li WP, Xu J, Chen ZY, Yang JM (2009). [Risk factors of breast cancer in women in Guangdong and the countermeasures]. In Chinese. Nan Fang Yi Ke Da Xue Xue Bao. 2009 Jul;29(7):1451-3.) found that NOT sleeping in a bra was protective against breast cancer, lowering the risk 60%.

    5. 2011 a study was published, in Spanish, confirming that bras are causing breast disease and cancer. It found that underwired and push-up bras are the most harmful, but any bra that leaves red marks or indentations may cause disease.

Who's the girl in the background picture ?

  5. I have gone a week without a bra thanks to the convincing from a male friend of mine. I am an African American female with small breasts with very big nipples so I was initially hesitant to go out in public sans bra. Man was I missing out! I love the way the material feels against my nipples, the breeze through my shirt and how they freely bounce as I walk and bike bride. YUMMY!!!. I do carry a jacket with me in instances for those situations where I feel a little self conscious...especially in places where I know the air is turned up. Overall, I enjoy going without a bra and love the attention. When I go to work I wear sheer or lace bralettes so my girls can still bounce. I feel super sexy. Better late than never.

  6. In Amazonian customs, and tribal African cultures, childbearing starts off very young, and they do breastfeed, that combined with multiple children contributes to the sag. Also in African cultures, heavy weights are placed to encourage breasts to sag as it is a favorable cultural attribute.

    1. also very serious bouts of famine over her lifetime. when thing are good the people fatten up and when bad they get quite thin

  7. I am in perimenopause and have had breast pain for several months, as well as fibrocystic breast disease for years. Looking for a solution, I found "Dressed to Kill." I started going braless a few weeks ago, thinking it would be sporadic and subtle. I soon found myself wanting to be as "out there" as possible, and am occasionally going without underwear. It feels amazing and liberating. Please keep updating this blog so other women will start to get the messsge and know they're not alone.

  8. I went braless for the first time today , and I have to say I feel soooo free , comfortable , and relaxed . I was able to focus on doing my work and not worry about fixing my bra everytime . It's great to know that even though I have big breasts I can still be free and natural

  9. I've been 100% bra-free for about a year and a half now. It took me years to get to this point. I'm still not comfortable totally free-boobing it though because my C cups swing a little too much, so I wear the spanx-type under shirts that are suppoesd to keep everything snug. I wear them to stop my boobs from swinging everywhere, not for the slimming effect (I'm already thin). It's the most amazing feeling in the world!
